 About the House

The house was built, according to public records, in 1880, making it 129 years old. Like most old houses it
usually needs some kind of work to improve it or keep it sound. I wrote a listing similar to what follows for
the house but the trust chose not to use it.

Good size Colonial in need of some TLC located in nice area off Lovell St. Large bright rooms, include
4 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, Living room w/full Bay Window, Family room, eat in Kitchen and enclosed
3-Season Porch. Full walk out Basement with potential for additional living space. Recent updates to
Kitchen and Bath, Energy saver water heater, some new wiring, lighting and ceiling fans, some
thermopane windows installed. Exterior work needed includes framing around door & window updates
and siding around door & window updates, then either painting or vinyl siding. About half of the windows
are original 100 year old glass, the other half have been replaced
with more modern thermopane windows.

These are the same photographs of the house which I sent to the real estate agent set up in a
web photo album. To return here just click on the word HOME on any of the pages.

Some of the things I love about the house are that, it's full of surprises. The first time I saw it I thought it was
an ugly little house from the outside. Then I got inside and I was amazed at how much room there was and
how warm and friendly the house felt. There is a huge tree in the back which cools the house in summer
and it's a great place for BBQing. There is still a lot of original wood work in the house and the rooms are
bright and airy. Ceilings are 8ft plastered. Woods include Oak, Maple, and Southern Yellow Pine. The
basement is split into 3 'rooms' and has 6 full sized windows if you count the one we vented the pellet
stove out of. I could go on but I don't want to bore you
.
